21st Annual Banquet of the Winona/Root River Pheasants Forever Chapter on Saturday Feb. 8th, 2020

You are cordially invited to attend the 21st Annual Banquet of the Winona/Root River Pheasants Forever Chapter on Saturday February 8th, 2020 at the Witoka Tavern & Banquet Hall, 27999 County Road 9, Winona, MN. Doors open at 5:00 PM and buffet dinner will be served until 9:00 PM. The menu will consist of shredded chicken and hamburger patties with buns, scallop potatoes with ham, pasta macaroni salad, green beans, brownies, summer sausage, cheese, crackers, seasoned pretzels, coffee and milk. Menu was adjusted to keep our banquet prices the same as previous years.
Dinner Ticket - $25.00 per ticket
Ringneck (under age 18) Membership & Dinner - $20.00 per ticket
Membership Dinner - $50.00 per ticket
This year will again be selling pre-sale (discounted) raffle tickets and enable online ticket purchases. The third page of this letter outlines the opportunities for each banquet attendee to purchase tickets before the banquet. Pre-sale tickets will be available until February 1st, 2020 and available for you to pick up at the door. We will be offering 400 Youth Clay Target Teams cash raffle tickets at $10.00 each, to win $1,000 cash, and two $250 cash prizes. Letter recipients will have an opportunity to purchase a ticket(s) until the 400 tickets are sold. Committee members will also be selling the tickets to the general public on a first-come basis until the 400 tickets are sold. You will also have a chance to purchase a $10 raffle ticket to win a Ford F-150. A Ford F-150 from Dahl Automotive will be on display at the banquet. For either of these raffles, you do not need to be present to win.

2019 Highlights and Accomplishments:
This year’s cash raffle was renamed the YOUTH CLAY TARGET TEAMS RAFFLE and with your support the proceeds from the raffle will be able to financially support the La Crescent High School, Rushford High School and the Lewiston High School trap shooting teams. This partnership has benefited both our chapter and the trap shooting teams. Watch for these youth helping with the banquet on February 8th.

2019 Highlights and Accomplishments:
- Our chapter held the annual youth hunt October 5th, 2019 with 12 young men & women participating in trap shooting, learning about native prairie, watching trained hunting dogs work in the field and accompanying a mentor on a pheasant hunt.
- Our chapter, in partnership with Tri County PF Chapter, has acquired 52 acres of mesic wet prairie that will be added to the Beaver Creek WMA in southwest Fillmore County.
- Our chapter, in partnership with Quail Forever in Caledonia has been awarded a $55,000 grant to develop 35 acres of native grasses with forbs on Winnebago Creek WMA, Yucatan WMA and a State Forestry tract of land in Houston County along with edge feathering habitat technique.
- Our chapter will finish acquiring 18.57 acres of land to be added to the Root River WMA in Houston County in summer 2020.
